PTSA Meet - 2017
Parents, Teachers and Student Association (PTSA) meeting was conducted at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College Auditorium on 08/07/2017 for I BHMS, II
BHMS, III BHMS (suppl) & IV BHMS (suppl) Students. The Meeting began with Prayer song by the students of I
BHMS & IIBHMS & Lighting the Lamp by the Dignitaries. Dr Ranjan Britto welcomed
the gathering and introduced the resource person. Dr Manjula Shantaram, Ph.D., PGDBEME (Ethics), Professor, Department of Studies in Biochemistry, Mangalore
University, PG Centre, Chikka Aluvara, Kodagu -571 232, Karnataka,
India, was the resource person for the day. She
highlighted an insight to the overall development of the student's growth
including health, studies & carrier too. She
briefed about how to build up their body and beautify it and type of food to be
taken. She emphasised more on food as she said that quality of food is
responsible for maintaining the healthy mind & body. She also mentioned
about the positive sides of electronic media to maintain the healthy mind. She
stated that every child should have focus or passion in their life and should
prepare themselves to fulfil it and she also requested the parents to help and
encourage their wards for the same. She has given different examples &
ideas how to make their passion to become true, like they can take training,
join Toast Master Club etc. It was an excellent
informative session.
There was a session by Vice principal who highlighted the students' academics followed by Principal's session where he highlighted overall role of college towards the students & parents especially on MIS, Fees payment system and he also cleared the queries of the parents. The session ended by the Asst. Administrator's message. He mainly stressed on the discipline in campus, in hostel and building of students' character. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Deena Monteiro, the chief mentor I BHMS. The morning session ended by lunch break. The post lunch session was for Parents & students, meeting the HODs & concerned staff of the respective departments. There were 220 parents, attended the meeting.
