Annual Homoeopathic Conference - Ventura '17
Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College organized the 22nd Annual National Homeopathic
Conference Ventura'17, new avenues
in Homoeopathy on the 6th and 7th of October 2017 at the
Father Muller Convention Centre Hall, Kankanady.
The inaugural programme began at 9.30am with the
traditional Arthi welcome. The Chief Guest of the programme was Shri. Prof. K.
UmamaheshwarRao, Director of National Institute of Technology, Suratkal. Dr.
Shrikanth B. Konkani M.D.(Hom), Principal, Bharatesh Homoeopathic Medical
College, Belagavi, and also a member of Central Council Homoeopathy, New Delhi,
was the Guest of Honour. Rev. Fr. Richard A. Coelho, Director of Father Muller
Charitable Institution, presided over the function.
The Programme began with a prayer song. Dr
Shivaprasad K, Principal, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College gave the
welcome address followed by lighting the lamp.
The Chief Guest spoke on his experiences with
Homoeopathy as a child and later at his workplace at IIT, Kharagpur. He urged
the young doctors to do research and enlighten the world on how Homoeopathy
works.
The Guest of Honor in his speech, assured the
audience, Homoeopathy too is evolving with the changing times. Both the Guests
were presented with mementos and Dr Konkani was felicitated.
The Director of FMCI gave his presidential address.
The Souvenir of the conference was released by the
Chief Guest and Guest of Honor. The programme ended with the Institution
anthem.

Charitable Institutions were all present.
In keeping with the high reputation and name of the
College, high profile speakers of international fame were invited to speak on
the latest cutting edge research topics like Nano science, New Drug Research in
Homoeopathy, Bach Flower Remedies and Autism.
Dr. E.S Rajendran MD(Hom), PhD, Director of Vinayaka
Mission Homoeopathic Medical College, Salem spoke on the topic 'Homoeopathy
Proved as Material Science, and Nano Medicine'. Dr Rajesh Shah, MD(Hom),
Director of Life Force Homoeopathy, Mumbai, deliberated on 'New Drug Research
in Homoeopathy'. Dr. A.N Sundaresh, MD(Hom), Consultant Homoeopath, Surabhi
Homoeopathic Healing Center, Davangere spoke on the topic 'Implications of Bach
Flower Remedies to Homoeopathic System of Medicine' and Dr R Vijayanand,
MD(Hom), MSc, MPhil (Psych), Professor, Shri Sai Ram Homoeopathic Medical
College, Chennai presented 'New Dimensions of Treatment for Autism in
Homoeopathy'.
The conference also included open forum session and short paper presentations
The Alumni meet was held at the end of the 2nd day and a banquet was arranged for the induction of interns into the alumni and the election of new alumni association office bearers took place.
