GUEST LECTURE: CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT
The Department of
Hospital Administration conducted a guest lecture on “CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT†on 23rd July
2016 in
the seminar hall of Hospital Administration Department. Mr
Vishweshwar Reddy, HOD of Quality Department, Apollo Hospital, Mysore, was
the guest speaker for the session. The participants for the session were 1st
& 2nd year MHA students.
The guest speaker gave
an insight into the continuous quality improvement and its importance from the
Hospital Administrator point of view. He briefed on different types of quality
indicators, tools and techniques and their importance in a hospital. He stressed
on the importance of strengthening basic knowledge regarding quality
improvement, so that students are able to be efficient hospital administrators
in future.
The participants highly
benefited and were enriched with the knowledge and practical examples on
quality improvement in hospitals and health care sectors.
This
enlightening session ended with a thank you note by Mr. Uttam.
