REPORT ON WORKSHOP - “FINANCIAL EDUCATIONâ€
The Department of Hospital
Administration conducted a workshop on 9th December 2016 in the
Knowledge Centre hall of Father Muller
Medical College. DR RADHAKRISHNA SHARMA,
Professor of Justice K.S. Hedge Institute of Management, Nitte was the guest
speaker for the session. The workshop was sponsored by Securities and Exchange
Board of India (SEBI). The participants for the session were 1st and
2nd year MHA students along with the faculty members.
The session commenced at 9.00am with
the welcome address by Ms Lyn Rodriguez. The guest speaker briefed the participants
on financial matters, Savings and Investments. He explained the need for
financial planning for life and the insurance needs in one’s life. Also the
role of SEBI in guiding the public and attending to the public queries was
explained with demonstration.
It was indeed a useful session which
winded up at 11.30am with a thank you note by Ms Reema Pereira.
