HEALTH CAMP & MASS HEALTH EDUCATION

It was a Joyful and Memorable day for Father Muller School of Nursing as they conducted a Mass health education on the topic “Diseases caused by sedentary lifestyle” and also a Medical camp organized by Father Muller Medical College hospital. The programme was held at Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayath School, Kana Katla, Surathkal.

          After the prayer song, the Principal of School of Nursing addressed the gathering. The programme was inaugrated by Mr Gunashekar, Corporator and he spoke about the importance of health. Mrs Leena Bhat, the headmistress of the school was the Chief Guest of the programme.

            The III year GNM students performed a skit on “Diseases caused by sedentary lifestyle”and gave health education to the community. Miss Renita D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.

         The health camp was conducted by Father Muller Medical College hospital. Faculty from General Medicine, Dermatology and Paediatric units examined the patients and provided treatment. A total of 110 patients benefited from this health camp. Refreshments were served for all the people.

           All the people from Katla village witnessed the programme and congratulated the students’ efforts. The programme came to an end at 12.30pm. Mrs Rugina D’souza-lady health visitor, Mrs Kushalakshi –Asha worker, Mrs Sherly –Auxillary nurse midwife and Mrs Harinakshi were present on this occasion.
