TRENDS 2K17 - CHANGING SKILLS AMONG HEALTHCARE ADMINISTRATORS

The Department of Hospital Administration of FMMC organized a one day Workshop on  TRENDS 2K17 - CHANGING SKILLS AMONG HEALTHCARE ADMINISTRATORS.

The Workshop was inaugurated at 9.00 a.m by the Chief Guest, Prof. K Sekar, Registrar, NIMHANS. Dr Jayaprakash Alva, Dean, Father Muller Medical College,  Rev. Fr Patrick Rodrigues, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions,   Ms  Sweta D’Cunha,  Course Coordinator, Department of Hospital Administration, Dr Namratha S, Workshop Convener were on the dais.

The  session started  by invoking God’s blessings through a prayer dance and  lighting the lamp followed by cordial welcoming of the gathering by Dr Jayaprakash Alva, Dean, Father Muller Medical College.

The Chief Guest Prof. K Sekar, Registrar, NIMHANS in his Inaugural address quoted “Have empathy, have larger amount of skills in terms of problem solving and go trans-disciplinary with critical and creative thinking.”

Ms Sweta D’Cunha, Course Co-ordinator, Department of Hospital Administration gave a brief report on the activities conducted by the department over the two decades to symbolize the Vicennial year celebration.

Rev. Fr Patrick Rodrigues, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, in his presidential speech, elaborated on how to equip oneself as an Administrator to meet the future challenges in the healthcare industry.

The Chief Guest Prof. K Sekar, Registrar, NIMHANS in his Key Note address briefed  on the various aspects of healthcare management set by different frontiers of management. The take-over message was to be empathetic, developing Interpersonal Relations and having trans-disciplinary engagements in an healthcare Industry.

Dr  Namratha S, Workshop Convener, proposed the vote of thanks.

SESSION 2 Dr  Jeedhu Radhakrishnan, Consultant Emergency Medicine University Medical Centre-   DISASTER MANAGEMENT AND EMERGENCY HANDLING SKILLS .

SESSION 3  Dr Rameela Shekhar, Dean, PG Department, Roshni Nilaya - ORGANIZATIONAL STRESS AND ITS MANAGEMENT.  

 

The validatory function was presided over by Dr Rameela Shekhar, Dean, PG Department, Roshni Nilaya,  Ms Sweta D’Cunha, Professor and Course co-ordinator, Department of Hospital Administration and Ms. Hezil Dsouza, Student Co-ordinator, Department of Hospital Administration.  Ms. Hezil Dsouza proposed the Vote of Thanks.
