REPORT OF THE CME ‘TRAINING ON REDUCING MATERNAL MORTALITY’ HELD ON 22.04.2017
The
department of Obstetrics & Gynecology has conducted a CME in association
with department of Health and Family welfare, Karnataka on 22nd April
2017 between 10.00a.m. to 4.00p.m in the Knowledge centre Hall. The CME was a training program for the
Government Medical Officers regarding methods to reduce maternal and infant
mortality. OBG department staffs were
faculty for the CME. The CME was inaugurated by Dr. K.G. Jagadish, District
commissioner, D.K at 10:30a.m., Chief guests were Dr. Rajeshwari Devi, District
Surgeon, Wenlock Hospital, Dr. Ramakrishna Rao, Health and Family welfare
officer, D.K. , CME was presided over by Dr. J.P. Alva, Dean, FMMC. The various scientific lectures were done
during the morning session. We had hands
on training in the afternoon session on
PPH , Eclampsia, I.V. fluids, I.V. cannula, helping babies breath and
basic life support. It was a duel
sponsored event that is by government and our institution. There were ‘75’ delegates for the CME. The CME was concluded at 4.00p.m.
