VITILIGO JATHA

On the occasion of World Vitiligo day, the department of Dermatology, in association with Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists [IADVL] – Karnataka Branch, Department of Medical Education, Government of Karnataka, and Karavali Dermatology Society organized a public awareness campaign throughout Karnataka.   On the eve of this Vitiligo Jatha,  the vehicle which is travelling throughout Karnataka, arrived at Mangalore on 16.07.2017.   After being flagged off from Wenlock hospital, the Jatha vehicle  arrived at the Father Muller Medical College premises at 10.30 am.  Rev. Fr Richard A. Coelho, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions flagged off the Jatha near Medical Records Section.  Dr Sukumar D,  HOD, Dermatology welcomed the gathering.  Dr Ramesh Bhat M, President Elect IADVL (National) gave information regarding the Jatha.  Dr Nanda Kishore B., Professor, Dermatology, Father Muller Medical College talked about vitiligo.  Leaflets about Vitiligo were distributed to the public on the occasion.  The vehicle proceeded to other places in the city from Father Mullers.
