National Nutrition Week Celebration 2017
The Department of Nursing
Foundation, in collaboration with Dietary Department of FMCI, celebrated National Nutrition Week on 6th
September 2017 on the theme “Optimal Infant and Young Child Feeding
Practices: Better Child Healthâ€. The programme aimed to create awareness on
safe practices among people of the community, especially children, through
health education with a view to creating a healthy nation. As a part of this
programme, free BMI, GRBS check up was done and pamphlets with information on
healthy diet were distributed. Nutritional assessment was also done for about
53 persons.
