FMCOSH Students’ Council Inauguration & Freshers’ Day
The
Inaugural Ceremony of the Students Council and Fresher’s day programme of
Father Muller College of Speech and Hearing was held on 26 July 2018 at the
Silver Jubilee Hall. Themed on “WELINAâ€, it was a pleasant reception for the
newcomers.
Rev.
Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions,
Dr B. Sanjeev Rai, Chief of Medical Services, Prof. Akilesh P.M, Principal of
Father Muller College of Speech and Hearing, Dr Sudheer Prabhu H., Associate
Professor, Community Medicine, FMMC were the dignitaries present on the
occasion.
The
programme commenced with an invocation followed by lamp lighting by the
esteemed dignitaries.
Ms
Jesel D’Costa accorded a cordial welcome to the gathering.
The
Chief Guest of the day, Rev. Fr Richard Coelho, greeted the gathering on the
occasion of celebrating the Patron’s day. Emphasizing on the significance of the day, he
advised the students to be respectful towards the elderly. He further stated that the motive behind the
Student's Council is to ensure a complete holistic growth of the student
community and as students, they need to make the most of life’s opportunities.
Later,
the dignitaries handed over badges to the newly elected representatives of
Student’s Council as a symbolic representation of inducting the new Students'
Council.
The
members of students’ council presented an exquisite programme which thrilled
the audience. Apart from this, a lot of exciting activities were conducted to
help the freshers explore their interests and meet the new friends and mentors
who would be with them for the upcoming years.
The
freshers also showcased their talents through various performances.
Ms
Rishel Pinto and Ms Leya Elizabeth Kurian managed the event; Ms Gladys
delivered the vote of thanks.
