Father Muller Medical College Hospital Launches ORTHOVISION ANALYZER
Father Muller Medical College Hospital has added another feather
in its cap by introducing new equipment ‘ORTHOVISION’, from Ortho Clinical
Diagnostics, U.S.A on Thursday, 16 August 2018.
The equipment was blessed and inaugurated by Rev.Fr Richard
Coelho, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions. Dr Kirana Pailoor,
Incharge Blood Bank Officer and Associate Professor of Pathology welcomed the
gathering and gave a brief description on the functioning of the
equipment.
OrthoVision Analyzer works on the principle of Column
Agglutination Technology. It can be used for Automated blood grouping, Crossmatching,
Coomb’s test and Antibody Screening and identification. This fully automated
equipment gives faster and accurate results as compared to the existing methods
of testing.
Rev.Fr Rudolph Ravi D’ Sa, Administrator, FMMCH, Rev. Fr
Jeevan Sequiera, Assistant Administrator ,FMMCH, Dr Jayaprakash Alva, Dean, FMMC,
Dr Jayaprakash C S, Head of Pathology department and faculty members were
present on this occasion.
