Inauguration of Decennium '18
Father Muller
Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, a branch of the prestigious Father
Muller Charitable Institutions, Mangalore, organized the 23rd Annual
National Homoeopathic Conference on 27th and 28th of
October 2018 at Father Muller Convention Centre, Kankanady, Mangalore.
The inaugural ceremony
of the two-day conference was held on 27th October 2018. at Father
Muller Convention Centre.
Dr Shivaprasad K,
Principal, FMHMC, introduced the dignitaries and extended a warm welcome to the
gathering.
The programme commenced
by invoking the Almighty through a prayer song, followed by lighting the lamp by
the dignitaries.
Chief Guest for the
programme Dr N. L. Tiwari, H’ble Member of Board of Governors, Homoeopathy,
Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi, in his inaugural address said, “Father Muller
started the homeopathy hospital in the form of a small OPD, today it has turned
to be an excellent establishment. Right from the beginning, the priests in the
management have committed themselves totally to elevate homeopathy stream,
which is now, the next alternative system of medicineâ€. Further, he appealed
the fraternities to strive to make homeopathy, achieve more prominent statures.
“Father Muller has
become an inspiration to everyone to commit oneself to their work with love and
service. The individuals we are today, it is because of the blessings of Father
Muller. Let the vision of Father Muller reach greater heights and let us all
endeavor to make homeopathy next to the alternative,†he added.
On this occasion,
Souvenir 2018 of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College was released by the
dignitaries.
Guest of Honour, Prof.
Dr P. K. Sudhir, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Vinayaka Mission’s Research
Foundation, Deemed to be University, Salem, Tamil Nadu, inspired and motivated
the students in his speech. He expressed his gratefulness towards the
institution and proudly appreciated the growth of the institute. Recalling the
contribution of the former bishop of Mangalore, Late Most Rev Dr Basil
Salvadore D' Souza, Former Director Fr Peter Noronha and Dr M L Dhavle, he
said,†Because of their due hard work, today, the institute has reached greater
heightsâ€.
Further, he proudly
exclaimed saying, “The academic
upliftment I have gained today is because of the commitment and discipline I
have achieved from Father Muller Institutionsâ€
“Only 20% of Indian
population is involved in homeopathy. It is the duty of the fraternities to
popularize homeopathy to reach the masses in public health delivery. Awareness
needs to be increased and doctors need to be committedâ€. Further, he also expressed
the need for producing more scientific homeopathy publications, which would be
of great help for the upcoming generations.

Assistant Administrator, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College &
Hospital in his speech wished good luck
to all the delegates and urged everyone to make the most out of this two-day
conference.
Rev.Fr Richard Aloysius
Coelho, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions presided over the
programme and felicitated the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. Addressing the
gathering, he said, “As a budding homoeopath, you need to contribute something
to the society. Further, appreciating the zeal of the faculty of the college,
he said, These conferences are a platform to share rich knowledge filled
experiences which will benefit the delegates as well as contribute towards the
development of homeopathyâ€.
Dr G. Rajachandra,
Organizing Secretary rendered the vote of thanks. Dr Deepa Rebello and Dr
Anusha G, staff of the institution, compered the programme.
The conference will
include scientific sessions spread out for 2 days to enrich delegate’s
knowledge on Haemophilia, pathophysiology of Homoeopathic remedies, the
importance of delusions in genetic disorders and crusty impetigo in children.
A National Level Quiz
Competition, poster presentation and open forum for the postgraduates and
practitioners will be held as a part of the conference.
