CNE on the Role of Nurses in Prevention of Medication Error
A Continuing Nursing Education Programme on the
Role of Nurses in Prevention of Medication Error was organised on 31st October
2018 by the Continuing Nursing Education Cell of the Nursing Service
department. The aim of the programme was to create awareness among nurses
about medication errors and the measures to prevent errors while handling
medicines.
Ms Freeda D'Souza, Head of the Quality
Department of KMC Hospitals was the resource person. During the session, she
explained about the types of medication error. She listed down the reasons for
errors in handling medication and she stressed on various strategies in
prevention of medication errors.
