AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON ANTI-RAGGING
The Anti-ragging committee of Father Muller College
of Nursing organized an awareness programme on the theme “NURTURE LIFE-SAY NO
TO RAGGINGâ€, on 8th December 2018 in the Academy hall. The program was led
under the guidance of Sr Deepa Peter, chairperson of the anti-ragging committee
of FMCON. The program began with a prayer song, sung by 4th year Bsc
nursing students.
Rajeev Mathew, Asst Professor, Department of mental
health nursing and secretary of anti-ragging committee welcomed the gathering.
Dr Namratha S, Professor, Department of hospital administration and Dr George
Taliat, Senior resident in the department of general surgery of Father Muller
Medical College Hospital were the judges
for the anti-ragging awareness competition. The competition consisted of 6
groups from Father Muller College of Nursing and School of Nursing. Each group
was allotted maximum 10minutes.
The participants from each batch were allowed to
showcase any form of dance, mime/fusion play etc. 1st prize was bagged by 4th year BSc nursing
students, 2nd prize was won by 3rd year BSc nursing students and 2yr PBBSc
nursing students won the third prize.
The remaining batches were provided with consolation prizes. Jasmine
Sarita Vas, Principal, Father Muller School of Nursing addressed the gathering
on the importance of anti-ragging and inspired the students. The vote of thanks
was proposed by Ms Fiona 3rd year GNM student. The program came to an end with
the institutional anthem.
