The
students of II year GNM as a part of their Child Health Nursing conducted a
mass health education on 10th December 2018 at 11.00 am in ‘K’ ward
on the topic “Management of Convulsionâ€. The programme commenced with a prayer
song. The welcome speech was given by Sr Balsumithra followed by which a role
play on the topic was performed.
The
students explained about the causes, phases of convulsions, signs and symptoms
and management of convulsion using various A.V aids. Students explained in
Kannada and Malayalam. The inmates and patient’s of ‘K’ ward were present. Mrs
Jasmine Sarita Vas, Principal Father Muller School of Nursing along with the
faculty and ward in charge’s graced the occasion. Vote of thanks was given by
Ms Melisha Jenifer DSouza. The programme came to an end at 12.00 pm. Ms Evliya
Pyaline Lasrado compered the program. Around 50 patients were benefitted out of
it.
