Contact Session on “Short Course in Educational Methodology†at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College

contact session on “Short Course in Educational Methodology†was organized by
Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in collaboration with Father Muller
Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital on 11th and 12th
February 2019. The Resource person for the programme was Dr Munir Ahmed R,
Director, College Development Council, RGUHS and H.O.D Department of Repertory,
GHMC, Bangalore. The inauguration was held at 9.30 am on 11th
February 2019. The II BHMS Students sung the Prayer song invoking God’s
blessings. Dr Shivaprasad K, Principal gave the welcome speech. The
dignitaries, Rev Fr Vincent Saldanha, Rev Fr Sylvester Lobo, Dr Shivaprasad K,
Dr Munir Ahmed R, Dr E S J Prabhu Kiran and Dr Rita Chakraborty lighting the lamp
inaugurated the session. It was followed by the message by the administrator
Rev Fr Vincent Saldanha. Dr E S J Prabhu Kiran proposed the vote of thanks.
The
session began at 10 am with pretest followed by the deliberation on the
allocated topic by the resource person. The session also involved group
activities like problem solving, formulating the objectives, selecting
appropriate teaching methods, completing individual task, micro teaching by the
participants. Dr Jyoshna S, Dr Sheena K N and Dr Sajan K R were the trainers
who assisted the functioning of the programme. The session concluded with post test
and with question and answer. Dr Deepa Rebello compered the Programme. Dr Rita
Chakraborty coordinator for Faculty Development committee convened the
programme. Faculty from Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Alvas
Homoeopathic Medical College participated in the contact session. The programme
ended at 4.00 pm on 12.02.2019.
