Report on State Level Debate Competition (FORENSIS-2018)
Department of Forensic Medicine, FMMC
organised a State Level
inter-collegiate debate competition (FORENSIS 2019) for MBBS students on 3rd
April 2019 at Knowledge Centre Hall, FMMC, Mangalore.
Dr. Nagesh KR, Professor & Head,
Dept. of Forensic Medicine, FMMC welcomed the invitees and participants to the
program. Rev Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, FMCI has delivered the
Presidential address. Rev Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa (Administrator, FMMCH), Rev Fr Ajith
Menezes (Administrator, FMMC), Dr. Jayaprakash Alva (Dean, FMMC), Rev Fr Nelson
Pais (Assistant Administrator, FMMCH), Dr. Udaykumar K (Medical Superintendent,
FMMCH), Dr. Sanjeev Rai (Chief of Research Centre), Heads & faculties of
various departments of FMMC and other Medical Colleges, and MBBS students were
present in the program. Dr. Hareesh Gouda, Associate Professor, Dept. of
Forensic Medicine, FMMC has proposed the vote of thanks.
Totally 12 teams from the Karnataka
State were participated in the competition. The competition was judged by Dr. Balika
Prashanth (Assistant Professor SDM Law College, Mangalore), Mrs. Asha Rego (School
of Social Works, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore), Dr. Ajith (Family Physician), and Mrs.
Pavithra Acharya (President, Mangalore Mahila
Shakthi).
The Judges for the competition have
distributed the certificates to the winners and participants.

Team award:
1st place: Ms. Kashish Singh & Ms. Aliva Mishra (KS
Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore).
2nd place: Ms. Careena Ann Lobo & Ms. Manisha R
Manikuttan (Fr Muller Medical College, Mangalore).
3rd place: Ms. Ankita Drolia & Mr. Shrey Kansal (JSS
Medical College, Mysore).
