MOU between Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI) AND  Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE)
A Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) for collaborative research and development was signed between
Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI), Mangalore and Manipal Academy of Higher
Education (MAHE), Manipal on 6th May 2019 at Father Muller Charitable
Institutions.
Following this MOU a
collaborative research, project publications and development will be pursued by
utilizing the manpower and infrastructure of both the Institutions. Also, faculty and student exchange program was
proposed to enhance the knowledge and research background of staff and students.
Currently, three projects were proposed and the works
were initiated by both the Institutions. The titles of the projects are as
follows :
1.
Physical
activity vs yoga on cognitive performance and cortical thickness in elderly.
2.
Changes
in default mode network during word repetition and retrieval: an FMRI study.
3.
Effect of Salicylate-induced
tinnitus on mouse auditory cortex and association areas.
The MOU was signed on
behalf of the FMCI by Rev. Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, FMCI and by Dr.
G. Arun Maiya, Dean, Manipal College of Health Professions on behalf of MAHE.
