International Yoga Day Celebrations
"Practice of Yoga shapes the positive thinking and builds up healthy human community" 'International Yoga Day' was celebrated in Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital on Thursday, 22nd June 2017 at 9.30 a.m. The programme was inaugurated by Mr Walter H. D'Mello, Deputy Director of Public Instructions, D.K. Mangaluru, by lighting the lamp along with other dignitaries.

Homoeopathic Medical College welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief
Guest. Mr Walter D'Mello, the
Chief Guest, in his speech explained the importance of Yoga and highlighted
peace and harmony aspect of Yoga in daily life.
Yoga has to be practised every day. Yoga is not a talk it is a walk.
Rev. Fr Vincent Saldanha, Administrator, Father Muller
Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, in his presidential address
advised the students to practice Yoga regularly and to spread the awareness in
the society. 15 minutes yoga a day,
keeps the evil away. Dr Sunitha D'Souza,
Dept. of Yoga & Naturopathy, delivered the vote of thanks.
After the formal
programme, Mass Yoga session was conducted to the local public & school
going children. Around 100 neighbouring
school children with their Teachers, Anganawadi teachers and Staff &
Students of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College have participated in the
Yoga session.
Rev. Fr Sylvester Lobo, Asst. Administrator, Father Muller
Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, faculty members and other
non-teaching staff were also present on the occasion.
