GREEN CAMPUS INITIATION

Forest Officer, Mangaluru, the Chief
Guest of the programme on GREEN
CAMPUS INITIATION organized by the
Dept. of Community Medicine of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College on
Tuesday, 18th July 2017. The
programme began with the Welcome address and introduction of Green Campus
Initiation by Dr. E.S.J. Prabhukiran,
Vice Principal followed by the inaugural programme by way of watering a plant
by the Chief Guest Shri
Ravi Kumar and Green Ambassador Shri Madhava Ullal along with other dignitaries.
The Chief Guest in his message highlighted the meaning of Forest i.e. 'F' for Food, 'O' for Oxygen, 'R' for Rainfall, 'E' for Ecological balance, 'S' for
Soil Erosion Prevention and 'T' for
Timber.
Rev. Fr
Sylvester V. Lobo, Asst. Administrator and President of the Programme asked
the students "What is our Contribution to keep the Campus Green & Clean" and said "Let's Think Green, Eat Green, Go
Green by caring and protecting mother earth and called to create
awareness about Green Campus to all".
Dr
Sudhamathi,
HOD of Dept. of Community Medicine and Convener of the Programme thanked all
who involved in Green Campus Initiation Programme.
After the stage programme the group
moved to the field to plant the saplings to mark the Green Campus initiative.
The students of III & IV BHMS
along with the P.G.'s & Interns of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical
College took part in this programme.
