MEDICAL HEALTH CAMP AT AN ANGANWADI AT BABUKATTE
On the 22nd of February 2019 a team of 6 visited the Anganwadi at Babukatte for a medical health camp. The camp commenced at 2 pm. The team consisted of Dr Reshel ( team leader), 2 Post graduate students: Dr Alok & Dr Ashams and 3 interns : Ms Shreyas, Ms Shruthi & Mr Athul. The camp started with a health talk delivered by Ms Shreyas in kannada on the importance of healthy nutrition, common disease conditions in children and the benefits of homoeopathy treatment.
After the health talk, we conducted the general health check-up. A total of 19 patients were examined. Out of the 19, 6 were children and 14 were adults. Dr Reshel and Dr Alok sat for consultation, Dr Ashams did the registration, Ms Shreyas checked the height and weight and Ms Shruthi and Mr Athul dispensed the medicines. The various diseases we came across were upper respiratory tract infections, hypothyroidism, migraine and gastritis. The patients were prescribed medicines for 1 week and asked to report back to Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital at Deralakatte for further treatment. The camp concluded at 4 pm.
