DR VENKAT RAO MEMORIAL POST GRADUATE QUIZ ON 25-02-2017
Department of General Surgery had conducted Dr Venkat Rao
Memorial Postgraduate quiz 2017 on Saturday 25.02.2017. The quiz began with preliminary rounds at
9.15 a.m. Dr Leo Francis Tauro,
Professor & HOD, Department of Surgery and the organizing chairman welcomed
the gathering. Dr Sebastian Mathias,
Chief Medical Officer and a close associate of Dr Venkat Rao gave a brief
introduction of Dr Venkat Rao and shared his experience of working with him. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr Shubha
N. Rao, Professor and organizing Secretary.
The final rounds of the quiz began at 10.30 a.m. Dr Caren D’Souza and Dr Jnaneshwari were the
quiz masters. 50 Postgraduates from
various medical colleges in and around Mangaluru participated in the quiz. The First Prize was won by Dr Vimaladhithan
and Dr Sattar Khan from K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Deralakatte, Second Prize
by Dr Syed Mahmood Ayaz and Dr Shijith Kumar from Kasturba Medical College,
Mangaluru and Third Prize by Dr Chitang Joshi and Dr Jiju Mohan from A.J.
Institute of Medical Sciences, Kuntikan.
The programme ended with the distribution of Prizes to
the winners by Dr Leo F. Tauro, Dr Erel
A.I. Diaz, Former HOD, Professor & Unit Head and Dr Shubha Rao.
The entire programme was well appreciated by all the participants.
