Inaugural of 4th National Pharmacovigilance Week -17th -23rd September 2024
Department of Pharmacology and ADR Monitoring
Centre, FMMC in association with Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission - National
Co-ordination Centre, PVPI Ghaziabad, organized the inaugural and sensitization
of 'National Pharmacovigilance Week 17th -23rd September
2024 with the theme 'Building ADR reporting
Culture for patient safety'. Also 'World Patient Safety Day' - 17th
September 2024 with the theme: 'Improving Diagnosis
for Patient Safety' was observed. Dr Padmaja Udaykumar Professor and
Head, the Department of Pharmacology welcomed the gathering and highlighted the
events organized as a part of National Pharmacovigilance Week 2024 and thanked
everyone who contributed to the success of the ADR monitoring centre.
Dr Antony Sylvan Dsouza, Dean, Dr Venkatesh BM, Vice
Dean, FMMC released the 'Vision and Mission' statement of our ADR monitoring
centre. Dean congratulated Dr Padmaja Udaykumar and the whole team for the AMC
achievement. He also mentioned the importance of monitoring patients and being
vigilant about ADRs.
Pharmacovigilance committee members, Dr Ashika A G, Jr
PV associate, faculty of dept. of pharmacology,staff from the quality
department, medical undergraduates, pharm D staff and interns were attended the
event.
Dr Chandralekha N, Associate Professor, AMC
coordinator, Department of Pharmacology spoke about the need for
Pharmacovigilance and theme of World Patient Safety Day 2024 and proposed the
vote of thanks.
