ELECTORAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME REPORT

In
response to the request from the SVEEP – Systematic Voters Education and
Electoral Participation Committee of District Election Commission of
India, a programme was organized in the Decennial
Memorial Hall of Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore at 9.00 am on
14.04.2018. The programme started with a welcome note from Dr Jayaprakash Alva,
Dean. The Chief Guest Dr M.R. Ravi, IAS, Chief Executive
officer, Z.P. DK, Mangalore /Chairman SVEEP committee gave a talk on the
necessity to conduct such a program and impressed upon the students as to why
they should participate in the upcoming election. This was followed by a ‘Voters Pledge’ taken by all the assembled
students and staff to participate in election. About 400 students and staff
