NABH Training Programme on Implementation Standards

The Department of Hospital Administration, Father Muller Medical College organized a three-day NABH Training Programme on Implementation of Fourth Standards by NABH division of Quality Council of India (QCI) from 17-19 August, at the Audio Visual Hall, Knowledge centre.

A total of 35 participants, including Quality Managers, Nursing Faculty and MHA students of the Institute, are the beneficiaries of the programme.

This is the third time the NABH training is being held at the Institute.

The inauguration of the training was held on 17 August 2018 at 9:00 am. The programme commenced with an invocation followed by lamp lighting by the dignitaries.

Dr Sweta D’Cunha, Professor and Head of Department of Hospital Administration, introduced the resource persons and welcomed the gathering.

Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, presided over the function and delivered his presidential address.

Later, the entire gathering observed a minute silence to pay homage to the departed Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Dr Vasundhara Atre, Medical Director, Fortis Hospital, Bengaluru and Dr Suneel C Mundkur, Professor, Department of Paediatrics, KMC Manipal were the resource persons for the training programme.

Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, Administrator of Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Fr Ajith B. Menezes, Administrator of Father Muller Medical College, Fr Jeevan George Sequeira, Asst Administrator of Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Dr Jayaprakash Alva, Dean, Father Muller Medical College, Dr B. Sanjeev Rai, Chief of Medical Services, Dr Padmaja Udaykumar, Vice Dean were present on this occasion.

During the three days training programme, the participants will be oriented towards NABH standards. These standards explain the requirements in working towards implementation of quality and patient safety.

 

Ms Almeida Freeda rendered the vote of thanks. Ms Fathima Ashfiya compered the event.

The ceremony ended with the singing of Institutional Anthem.
