  • Dr Ann Mathsy Mathews PG Resident of Anaesthesiology secured Second Prize for paper presentation titled “Comparison of interlaminar epidural steroid injection Vs transforaminal selective nerve root block for treatment of lumbosacral radiculopathies'' during the ISACON 2022, the 69th Annual National Conference of Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists held at Shillong.

  • Dr Ramith Shetty, PG Resident of Dermatology secured first prize for paper presentation titled “Clinicodemographic profile and estimation of transepidermal water loss in cashew nut dermatitis” during the National Symposium on Paediatric Eczema & Allergy organized at Yenepoya Medical College, Mangaluru on 27.11.2022.

  • Dr Vinolyn D Souza, Postgraduate of Dermatology received second prize for paper presentation titled “Retrospective analysis of patch testing results at a tertiary care center” during the National Symposium on Paediatric Eczema & Allergy organized at Yenepoya Medical College, Mangaluru on 27.11.2022.

  • Dr Ruby Christy, PG Resident of Paediatrics secured best paper award for her research paper titled “Role of mean platelet volume / total platelet count ratio in neonatal sepsis” during Karavali PEDICON 2022 held on 10.12.2022 & 11.12.2022 at Sahana Convention Centre, Koteshwara, Kundapura.

  • Dr Pallavi S,PG Resident of General Surgery won Third prize for paper presentation titled “Endovascular versus surgical revascularization for peripheral arterial disease below the level of bifurcation of abdominal aorta” during ASICON 2022 - 82nd Annual Conference of the Association of Surgeons of India held from 21.12.2022 to 24.12.2022 at Mumbai.

  • Dr Sivaraj S. Mangyal, PG Resident of General Surgery secured second prize for poster presentation titled “Nematode as lead point in a case of adult small bowel intussusception post total gastrectomy – A case report” during ASICON 2022 - 82nd Annual Conference of the Association of Surgeons of India held from 21.12.2022 to 24.12.2022 at Mumbai.

  • Original Research Article of Ms Sharon Maria Concessao, Intern, MBBS 2017 Batch titled “A study of antibacterial action of honey against bacteria isolated from wound infection: An in-vitro study“ is published in the IP International Journal of Medical Microbiology and Tropical Diseases 2022;8(2):163-167 under the guidance of Dr Meena Dias, Professor and HOD of Microbiology. The project was carried out as part of ICMR STS 2020.

  • Dr Tia Teresa Thomas, PG Resident of ENT received II place in Dr. Sandra Nisha Dsouza PG award for paper presentation titled “The use of HIT 6 questionnaire to assess the impact of headaches among patients attending the Otorhinolaryngology out-patient department in a tertiary care hospital” during the 74th Annual Conference of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India AOICON 2023 at Jaipur from 02.02.2023 to 05.02.2023.

  • Ms Sandria Ann Dsouza, MBBS Student secured first place in scientific paper presentation titled “Unmet health needs in relation to anemia among the adolescent girls of Mangalore” under the guidance of Dr Sudhir Prabhu H, Professor & HOD of Community Medicine held during the KMC EREVNA 2023, a student medical research conference organized by the Students Research Forum of Kasturba Medical College Mangalore on28.04.2023 & 29.04.2023.

  • Ms Sarayu Teresa Abraham, MBBS Student under the guidance of Dr Saritha Paul, Neonatologist won first place in the Oral Case Presentation on the topic “The missing link: Exploring factor XIII deficiency in Neonatal Hemostasis” organized during the VEDAM-2023 – an academic conference held at KMC, Manipal from 02.08.2023 to 05.08.2023.

  • Dr Pooja Peethambaran and Dr Laxmi D. Shetty, Postgraduates of Ophthalmology secured Second Place in the Intercollegiate Postgraduate Ophthalmology Quiz Competition on Ophthalmic Inflammation and Infection organized by Yenepoya Medical College, Mangalore on 09.09.2023

  • Ms Neha Ann Daniel, BPT Student presented an e-Poster at the ‘Mangalore Physiocon 2023’, an International Physiotherapy Conference held at TMA Pai International Convention Centre, Mangalore on 08.09.2023 & 09.09.2023 and secured second place under the guidance of Ms Shetty Shradda, Lecturer of Physiotherapy.

  • Ms Sarayu Abraham, MBBS student represented FMMC at the ‘Cognition 2023’ – 8th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium held at Christian Medical College, Vellore on 11.09.2023 7& 12.09.2023 and bagged third place in the Clinical Case Presentation (Medical Specialities) under the guidance of Dr Saritha Paul, Neonatologist.

  • Research proposals submitted by Mr Vasi Hiram B, Mr Deepesh Choudhary, Mr Ayush Amarsh, Ms Laavanya Gupta, Ms Resa Thomas and Mr Kavadi Gagan, MBBS Studentswere selected ICMR STS 2023.

  • Research proposal submitted by Ms Resa Thomas, MBBS Student and Mr Miqdad Ashraf, Ms Gwen Abigail Dsouza, Ms Siyona Atul Silimkan, BPT Students were selected by RGUHS, Bengaluru for Short Term UG Research Grant 2023-24

  • Mr Abel Thomas Jacob ( BPT 2019) and Ms Keara ( BPT 2021) secured the 2nd prize in the competitive quiz segment held at Mangalore Physiocon 2023 on 8th & 9th September 2023.

  • Ms Sharon Maria Concessao, MBBS Student has been awarded the Best E-Poster award for the poster presentation titled “A Study of Antibacterial action of Honey against Bacteria Isolated from Wound Infection: An In Vitro Study” under the guidance of Dr Meena Dias, Professor & HOD of Microbiology at the Student Conference of Research in Education organized by Manipal Academy of Higher Education Student Research Forum (MAHESRF), MCODS, Mangalore on 27th to 29th October 2021.

  • Ms Careena Ann Lobo, MBBS Student under the guidance of Dr Preetham Philip Tauro, Senior Resident of Paediatrics has won first place in EPIGNOSIS - National level Paediatrics Clinical Case Presentation Competition conducted by the White Army on 05.12.2021.

  • Dr Chetana S Sultanpuri, PG Resident of Radio Diagnosis has won Scientific e-poster award for the e-poster titled “Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, A case report” at Global Radiology Summit 2021- II held virtually on 11th and 12th December 2021.

  • Dr Janine Diana Miranda, PG Resident of Surgery department has secured First Place for her paper presentation titled “A study to evaluate the pattern of proton pump inhibitors abuse in patients attending a medical teaching hospital” during the 81st Annual Conference of ASI Virtual ASICON-2021 organized by the Association of Surgeons of India held from 17th to 19th December 2021.

  • Dr Diya Baju Parappat, PG Resident of Surgery department has secured Second Prize for his Poster presentation titled “Supernova – a rare complication in a polycystic liver” during the 81st Annual Conference of ASI Virtual ASICON-2021 organized by the Association of Surgeons of India held from 17th to 19th December 2021.

  • Dr Harshinie Vinaya Kumar, PG Resident of Surgery department has secured Second Prize for her paper presentation titled “Sickness in thickness – complication acute cholecystitis and the role of ultrasonographic assessment of gall bladder wall thickness” during the 81st Annual Conference of ASI Virtual ASICON-2021 organized by the Association of Surgeons of India held from 17th to 19th December 2021.

  • Dr Melita Ethel D Silva, PG Resident of Surgery department has secured Second Prize for her poster presentation titled “Footage of limb – anterolateral thigh flap for mangled left foot” during the 81st Annual Conference of ASI Virtual ASICON-2021 organized by the Association of Surgeons of India held from 17th to 19th December 2021.

  • Ms Roshni Joseph and Mr. Abhijith Sharma, MBBS Students have secured 1st Prize in the “Dr A Krishna Rao Memorial Inter –Collegiate Physiology Quiz Competition” organized by Department of Physiology, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal on 23rd March 2022.

  • Dr Sudhan Rackimuthu., MBBS Intern has been awarded the “Champion of Champions” Scholarship award by the Metropolis MedEngage Scholarship Program 2021-22 as a deserving student who has consistently delivered outstanding performance in academics, participated in poster, paper and research publications along with pursuing other interests.

  • Dr Alma Swathi D Souza, PG Resident of Radio-Diagnosis department has secured Third Prize for her paper presentation titled ''Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data system version 2 staging (PIRADS): Tool for risk assessment in prostatic lesions - A retrospective study'' during the Onco imaging masterclass 2022 online CME organized by Indian Radiologist and Bandra Holy Family Hospital, Mumbai held from 23rd to 24th April 2022.

  • Mr Adithya Shelley and Mr Akshath Sharma, MBBS Students have won First place in– Platform Case Presentation competition organized during the OSMECON 2022 - An International Undergraduate Conference held at Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad from 26th August 2022 to 28th August 2022. The case that was presented at this undergraduate conference was under the guidance of Dr Safwan Ahmed, Associate Professor of Neurology.

  • Ms Meenakshi Veena Joji, Ms Sandriya Jayanth and Mr N. Bavit, MBBS students have secured 2nd Place in the Research Protocol Presentation Competition organized by GCMER (Global Consortium of Medical Education and Research) in the month of August 2022. The topic of the Research Proposal is “Use and Interpretation of High Sensitivity Cardiac Thoponins in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease with and without Ischemic Heart Disease.”

  • Ms. Swathi S & Ms. Sandhya Rao, Kordkal MBBS students of our college won First prize in the Zonal level UG Dermatology Quiz 2015 conducted by IADVL, at KMC Mangalore on 13.09.2015 and secured 2nd Place in the Undergraduate quiz of IADVL, Karnataka Branch held at S.S. Institute of Medical Sciences, Davangere on 29th November 2015.
  • Dr. Dhara and Dr. Alveera, PG Residents of OBG Department won 1st place in intercollegiate postgraduate quiz on Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology held at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore
  • Dr. Asher George Joseph, Post Graduate Resident of Surgery Department has won the “Gold Medal in the Vivekananda Prabhu Memorial Gold Medal Examination” conducted by Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore on 03.01.2016.
  • Dr. Mohan Babu M presented a paper at the Silver Jubilee Kancips 2015 at Shivamogga on 30th Aug.2015. He won Rs. 1000 as the best award for the podium presentation.
  • Dr. Samatha M Swamy,PG Resident of Dermatology has been awarded grant to attend SARCD 2015 [South Asian Regional Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists & Leprologists) at Mysore.
  • During DERMACON 2015, Dr. Reeja Mariam George won first prize, Dr. Namitha Chathra and Dr. Mahajabeen Madarkar, PG Residents of Dermatology won appreciation award for their Research paper presentation.
  • Dr. Teena Ramesh presented a poster on Immunohistochemistry of Lichenplanus and oral presentation on Trans Epidermal water loss in neonates. Her poster was selected as a featured poster during the congress and she received IADVL travel grant to attend the World Congress of Dermatology in Vancouver, Canada from 6th to 13th June 2015. She also received Prof. S. Premalatha Award for the best research project in Basic Dermatology during DERMACON 2016 held at Coimbatore in January 2016.

  • Dr. Aruna C M, Post Graduate Resident of Surgery Department awarded Gold Medal for securing highest marks in MS. General Surgery in the University Examination held in the month of May 2014.
  • Dr Amitha Jane D’Souza Post Graduate Resident of Paediatrics department received Dr. Ankegowda Award for her paper presentation titled “Foot length as a surrogate anthropometric measurement in emergency settings” during the Karnataka State Pedicon 2014 Conference held at Mysuru from 31st October 2014 to 2nd November 2014.
  • Dr Praveen Kumar B., Post Graduate Resident of Pharmacology has been selected for the financial assistance of Rs. 25,000/- from the Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi for his MD Thesis study.
  • Mr. Thilakchand K.R., MBBS Intern and Ms. Sahana P. of MBBS student have secured 1st and 2nd Place respectively in the Oral Presentation competition of their Research papers held during the International Undergraduate Medical Conference organised by A.J.   • Our College Men’s Chess Team have secured 1st Place in Mysore Zonal Chess Tournament held at Koppa from 27th September 2014 to 28th September 2014 and were the runners up in Inter Zonal Chess Tournament held at J.J. Medical College, Davangere on 1st and 2nd October 2014.
  • Our college Men’s team were the Winners in RGUHS Mysore Zonal Basket Ball Tournament held in our college on 22nd and 23rd September 2014 and were the Runners up in RGUHS Mysore Zonal Football Tournament held from 6th to 8th October 2014 at A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalore.

  • Dr. Akshitha Ratnakar Shetty, Post graduate of the department of Dermatology has been awarded IADVL Karnataka Branch “Best Thesis Award” during CUTICON 2013 held on 26thand 27th October at Shimoga.
