Child Health Nursing Department

Caring for children is the most satisfying aspect of clinical. A competent nurse effectively and lovingly provides relief from pain and suffering. The department came into existence in the year 1987 with the B. Sc Nursing programme. The aim of the department is to train the students to develop the concept of Children’s growth and development and difference in care from that of adults. To prepare the students to develop the skills in caring for children from fetal life to adult life. The department has qualified, experienced and committed faculty.

OBJECTIVES

• To identify the difference between adult and child in care, approach and treatment
• To provide care for children with special consideration to growth, development and maturity
• To analyze the importance of prevention of illness and the remedial measures towards the same
