Mass Health education on ‘Mosquito Borne Diseases’

A Mass Health education program was organized as a part of the Child Health Nursing Requirement, on the topic ‘Mosquito Borne Diseases’, by the III year BSc Nursing students at an Anganwadi, Bajpe on 29th June 2019. Health Education which began with a short Role play followed by which the students explained the Definition, Etiology, Clinical features, Diagnostic measures of various mosquito borne diseases like Dengue Malaria, Chikungunya, Filariasis etc. Students also stressed the importance of the Management and Prevention of mosquito borne diseases along with due importance to natural and easily available home remedies. A total of 24 members were benefited. The program was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Benita David, Lecturer and Mrs. Wilma Noronha, Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatric Nursing. The program winded up at 11.50am
