The course inauguration of the 30th
Batch of BSc (N), 29th Batch of PBBSc (N) and 25th Batch
of MSc (N) was held on 16th September 2016. The programme commenced
with a prayer song lead by 2nd year BSc (N) students. Sr Winnifred
D’Souza, Principal, Father Muller College of Nursing welcomed the gathering
which was followed by lamp lighting that marked the inauguration of the programme.
Professor Irene Alvares, PG coordinator introduced the chief guest, Rev Sr Dr
M. Jeswina A.C, Principal, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru. The chief
guest encouraged and motivated the
novice to perform at optimum from the beginning of their academic journey and
also to inculcate the qualities of a nurse. In the Presidential address, Rev
Fr Patrick Rodrigues, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, pointed out
the existing challenges in the profession and stressed the need to focus on
growing in the profession with discipline. Mrs. Shweta Rashmi, Lecturer, Father
Muller College of Nursing proposed the vote of thanks to all for gracing the
occasion by their solemn presence. The inaugural programme was then followed by
introduction of the novice and PTA meeting.
