In observance of ‘World Immunization Week -2017’, a health talk on the global theme "Vaccines Work" was organized by the faculty of Department of Child Health Nursing in collaboration with the Department of Community Health Nursing on 25^th April 2017 in Jeppu UHC at 10am under the guidance of Mrs John Neeta, Lecturer, Department of Child Health Nursing. The resource persons, Mrs Sandra Saldanha, Lecturer, Department of Child Health Nursing and Mrs Priya Sweety, Lecturer, Department of Community Health Nursing gave insight into how vaccines work to protect individuals and communities, its effectiveness and benefits. The group of 30 beneficiaries were also made aware about the immunization schedule and the availability of vaccines at the periphery health care centres.
