The
staff and students of 1st year PBBSC Nursing organized Nutritional
Day on 29th March 2019 in the Nutrition Lab of Father Muller College
of Nursing. Competition on preparation of Nutritious diet was conducted to the
group. Storage of food items, different methods of cooking and preservation of
food related charts were displayed and various therapeutic diets were prepared displayed
by the students. The therapeutic diet preparation included diet for post natal mother,
renal diet and diet for an infant. Food rich in Vitamin A, Calcium, and Protein
diet was also prepared. Information on methods of cooking, food preservation
and storage of food item was also displayed.
The
evaluators for the nutrition day programme were, Ms Precilla D’Silva Lecturer
of OBG Department, Mrs Shwetha Rashmi, Lecturer of Medical Surgical Nursing
Department, and Mrs Arokiya Benita, Lecturer department of Child Health
Nursing. Sr Deepa Peter HOD Department of Nursing Foundation and Mrs Wilma S
Noronha, the subject co-ordinator gave the feedback and also appreciated all
the students for their group work and beautiful presentation. The Programme concluded at 3:30pm.
