The Student Nurses Association of Father Muller
School and College of Nursing organized Nurses day celebration on 18/05/2019 at
10:00am in the Academy Hall. After invoking the blessings, the programme was
inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding of the portrait of Rev
Father Muller, the founder of the Institutions and Florence Nightingale, the
founder of modern Nursing. Mrs Mariyamma O K, principal of Government School of
Nursing, Wenlock was the Chief Guest and she unveiled the theme of this year, Nurses:
a voice to lead health for all, followed by her meaningful message. The
winners of the poetry competitions were awarded by Mrs Shiji PJ, the SNA
advisor of college of Nursing. The college magazine was released during this
occasion. Rev Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director of FMCI delivered the
presidential address. After the formal programme the students of 1st
and 2nd year MSc Nursing conducted a symposium on the theme of
Nurses’ day. The celebration came to an end with cultural programme performed
by students from different batches.
