Report on lamp lighting ceremony
On 16.12.2016 at 11.00 a.m. the lamp
lighting ceremony of 59th batch of GNM and 30th batch of B.Sc
Nursing students took place, where the young students dedicated their life in
healing the suffering humanity.
The programme was started with a
prayer song. Sr Winnifred D’Souza, Principal, Father Muller College of Nursing,
escorted the dignitaries to the dias. Dr Elsa Santombi, Professor, Manipal
College of Nursing was the chief guest.
Mrs Jasmine Sarita Vas, Principal,
Father Muller School of Nursing welcomed the gathering. The lighting of the
lamp by the freshers was done in a symbolic manner. The nursing leaders were
invited to light the lamp and transfer the true spirit of Nursing to the
newcomers. The Nightingale oath was made by Sr Winnifred D’Souza, Principal,
Father Muller College of Nursing.
The chief guest addressed the
gathering. The Director Rev Fr Patrick
Rodrigues presented a momento to the chief guest and then delivered the presidential
address. Mrs Victoria Almeida, Vice Principal, Father Muller College of
Nursing, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme came to an end at 12.30 p.m.
