GNM COURSE 2018 INAUGURATION
The course inauguration of 61st
batch of General Nursing and Midwifery programme was held on 12th September 2018 at 10.00 a.m. in the Decennial
Memorial Hall. The inauguration began with prayer song lead by 2nd
year GNM students.
Mrs Jasmine Sarita Vas, Principal, Father
Muller school of Nursing, escorted the dignitaries to the dais and welcomed the
gathering. Dr Sylvia Rego, Associate Professor, Department of English, St Aloysius
College, Mangalore, was the Chief Guest.
Rev. Fr Richard A. Coelho, Director, FMCI presided over the program and
lit the lamp in a traditional way.
The Principal
introduced the chief guest to the gathering. The chief guest said “The
infrastructure, equipments, materials cannot make the hospital, the nurse who
makes the hospitalâ€. She continued
saying that the freshers have selected a
noble profession and gave various examples with the stories to the budding
novice nurses.
Rev. Fr Richard A Coelho, Director, Father
Muller Charitable Institutions, addressed the gathering by saying, “you should
have a goal and have to dream for your
goal and you need to work hard to fulfil your dream, so that you can achieve
your goalâ€.
Mrs Caroline Smitha, the class co-ordinator
of 1st GNM proposed the vote
of thanks. Refreshments were served to the gathering. Ms Maria Samy of 2nd year GNM compered the
program.
