The
students of II year GNM, as a part of their Mental Health Nursing, conducted a
mass health education on 11th December 2018 at 10.00 am in
Vailankanni ward on the topic Awareness on Alcoholism. The programme
commenced with a prayer song. Ms Saritha D’Souza welcomed the gathering which
was followed by a role play on the topic.
The
students explained about the causes, effects of Alcoholism, treatment and prevention
using various audio visual aids, both in Kannada and Malayalam. The inmates and
patients of Vailankanni ward were present. Mrs Jasmine Sarita Vas, Principal, Father
Muller School of Nursing along with the faculty and ward in charges graced the
occasion.
Vote
of thanks was given by Ms Seema Assintha. Ms Reena D’Souza compered the
program. Around 20 patients benefitted from this.
