‘Emmanuel-God is with us’, Christmas Celebration at Father Muller School of Nursing
Father Muller School of Nursing organized Christmas
Celebration,†Emmanuel-God is with us†on 13 December 2018 at Silver Jubilee
Hall.
The programme began by invoking God’s blessings with a prayer
song.
Priya Rebello, third year GNM student welcomed the gathering.
Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, FMCI presided over the
programme and delivered the Christmas message. “Christmas is celebrated all over
the world. It is a season where we open our hearts to receive the Savior of the
world. We need to feel the warmth of Christ’s birth in our hearts. The birth of
Emmanuel brings joy, peace and tidings to our families. Consume what is good
and get rid of all the malice so that we can witness Christ in our lives and in
the lives of our fellow beings. Discard all sorts of sensuality and let’s give
heed to the cry of our needy brethrenâ€, he said.
Varieties of performances, including carol singing, dance and entertainment
marked the Christmas celebration. Students dressed in Santa costume were the
center of attraction. The students enthralled the audience by enacting the
scene of the nativity.
Laasya, Second year GNM student rendered the vote of thanks.
Much awaited “revealing the Christmas friend†was conducted
there after. Both faculty and
students were given the chit of Christmas friend, a month ago and today, they
revealed it in a wonderful way and exchanged their gifts for their friends.
Shwetha D'Souza and Sr Benita, students of 3rd year GNM, FMSON
compered the programme. Jasmine Sarita Vas, Principal, FMSON, staff and
students of Father Muller School of Nursing were present.
