Dhwani’ Cultural Fest 2019

‘Dhwani’ Cultural Fest 2019 organized by the Father Muller College of Speech and Hearing was inaugurated on 31st January, 2019 at the Academy Hall, of Father Muller Charitable Institutions.
 
Culture and tradition have been ingrained in us all in so many varied ways. A platform to display this exuberance of talent is what our cultural fest seeks.
Art is not only a form of expressing the undefined emotion it is unleashing a sense of freedom. A feeling of being set free, a feeling of letting our imaginations run wild.
Art is viewed in terms of skill, perspective, grace, poise, depth, understanding and so many other adjectives.
Yet there is no single word that can sum up the impact of the several artistic forms.
The name ‘Dhwani’ was chosen considering the association of the sense of hearing to the field of speech and hearing and this name will further remain constant for the upcoming cultural of FMCOSH , ‘THRESHOLD’ , ‘DECIBLES’ , ‘ WAVES’ were the teams competing with each other
 
The inaugural function commenced with unveiling of the theme. The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Rev. Fr Richard Coelho, Director, FMCI. The other dignitaries who presided over the inaugural ceremony were Administrator FMMCH, Rev. Fr Rudolf Ravi D’Sa, Chief of research FMCI, Dr.B Sanjeev Rai , Dean FMMC Dr. Jayaprakash Alva and Prof Akhilesh P.M. Principal, FMCOSH.
 
Rev. Fr Richard Coelho addressed the gathering on the occasion and gave a beautiful message on the role of extracurricular activities and their contribution in molding the holistic development of a student. He also said that, ‘Dhwani - 2019 ‘is an opportunity to bring out the talents and will help in developing the personality of the students.  It is also about bringing out and celebrating the art and culture of our country.
 
Prof. Akhilesh P.M, Principal, FMCOSH also addressed the gathering saying, “Culturals is not a separate entity, rather it goes hand in hand with education and is also an integral part of a student’s curriculum. He elaborated the three names of the three teams participating in the program “Threshold”, “Decibel” and “Waves”. The sound waves which are recorded as threshold and measured in decibels is a complete expression of the field of speech and Hearing.
 
Valedictory program was held on the 3rd day of the cultural event at 4pm and which was preceded by Dr Santosh Kumar Professor FMCOSH. Overall championship was backed by the team “Waves”
 
An event like ’Dhwani’ aims in bringing out professional artistic touch and refined talent in various forms we also have students from different states ‘Dhwani’ Cultural Fest 2019 a three-day cultural extravaganza is a platform where the students are blessed with an opportunity to display their talents and team spirit.
