The eye bank and corneal transplant unit are the units of the Department of Ophthalmology. We have a laminar floor of a fully functioning eye bank in the district.

• The eye bank has facilities for the collection and preservation of donated eyes.
• Keratoplasty surgery is done for the corneal blind.
• Eye donor registration facilities are available.
• Operation theatre is fully equipped with the state of the art facilities
• For assessing the donor cornea Konan Specular Microscope is available
• Lumera I operating microscope and constellation vitrectomy machine is available in the operation theatre
• Awareness of eye donation is created by different media platforms
