Freshers’ Day Celebration – “ZEPHYRA 2K25”

The Freshers’ Day celebration “ZEPHYRA 2K25” was held at Father Muller Nursing CollegeThumbay, to warmly welcome the new batch of B.Sc. Nursing students (2025–2029) on 04/11/2025 at 3.30pm in Florence Nightingale hall. The event, themed “Zephyra”—meaning a gentle spring breeze symbolizing freshness and new beginnings—was filled with enthusiasm, creativity, and joy.

The occasion was graced by Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions; Rev. Fr. Slyvester Vincent Lobo, Administrator FMNCT/FMHT; Dr. Reena Wilma Frank, Principal FMNCT and Mrs. Janet Sequeira, Vice Principal FMNCT.

The programme began with an invocation, followed by a welcome address by Ms. Diya Treesa Thomas. Cultural performances including dances, songs, a fashion show, and choreography by hostelers highlighted the remarkable talents of the freshers. In his address, Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo appreciated the students for showcasing tremendous talents and wished that their enthusiasm and creativity remain fresh throughout their academic journey.

Certificates were also presented by the Director to the winners and participants of the Anatomy Day Pencil Sketch Competition held at Father Muller Medical College, Kankanady. Ms. Ann Maria Toby, I Semester B.Sc. Nursing, won Second Place, while Ms. Josiya (II Semester), Ms. Ann Maria, and Mr. Albin (I Semester) were recognized for their participation

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, the institutional anthem, and refreshments. “ZEPHYRA 2K25” truly reflected the spirit of new beginnings, unity, and the vibrant culture of Father Muller Nursing College Thumbay.
