The art of caring for children is one of the most satisfying aspect of clinical nursing. The department of Child Health Nursing was established in the year 1987 with B Sc Nursing program. We aim to train students in assessing children’s growth and development and the differences in care compared to adults. The goal is to prepare students to develop skills in caring for children from fetal life to adulthood. The department is having qualified, experienced, and committed faculty.
Objectives
- To identify the difference between adult and child in care, approach and treatment.
- To provide care for children with special consideration to growth , development and maturity
- To analyze the importance of prevention of illness and the remedial measures towards the same
- To promote research mindedness in learners
