Medical Surgical Nursing

Overview

The Department of Medical Surgical Nursing aims to disseminate comprehensive information on adult health, including geriatrics. The department works to give students the practical skills they need to offer complete adult health nursing care. The department's ability to function as a team and communicate well is essential to its success. The staff members have exceptional qualifications and are committed to providing their students with comprehensive information through a variety of teaching approaches. This allows the students to pursue careers in medical surgical nursing as nurses, educators, managers or researchers. The academic Programmes of the department include UG & PG Nursing.

 

Objectives

  1. To apply the nursing process to the provision of nursing care for a range of medical issues.
  2. To exhibit the ability to use critical thinking while making judgments in all circumstances to deliver high-quality care.
  3. To engage in the delivery of healthcare as an effective member of the health team.
  4. To undertake need-based research studies in diverse settings and apply the study outcomes to enhance the quality of care provided.
