Women Cell, FMCON

The Women’s Cell at Father Muller College of Nursing (FMCON), Mangaluru, aims to promote gender equality, empower women, and ensure their well-being on campus. The cell addresses issues related to women’s rights, safety, and discrimination. It organizes awareness programs, provides counselling, and handles grievances related to gender-based concerns, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all.

Objectives

  1. To promote gender equality and justice in all activities and address any complaints related to sexual harassment within the institute.
  2. To create a positive and conducive atmosphere on campus for all students.
  3. To handle cases of discrimination and sexual harassment against women in a timely manner, ensuring supportive services for the victims and the cessation of harassment.

Functions

  • Practical guidance (educational programs) is provided periodically to students on how to deal with sexual harassment
  • The institution implements the policy and takes corrective actions to ensure compliance.
  • The staff takes responsibility for supporting any student who files a complaint about sexual harassment.
  • The staff provides clear advice on the guidelines students should follow to address sexual harassment.
