Doctor's Day Celebration

National Doctor's day was celebrated at FMHT on 1st July 2021 to acknowledge the dedication and hard work put forth by doctor's and their selfless service during the pandemic.

The programme began with a prayer song, followed by welcome address by Rev.Fr.Sylvester Vincent Lobo, Administrator, FMHT.

Rev.Fr.Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, FMCI was the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering saying, "Today is not only a Doctor's Day,  but should be named as Covid Martyr's Day, for all the sacrifices and lives of nearly 1500 doctor's lost in India serving amidst the pandemic". He further emphasized, we need for an inclusive culture, rendering our service to all, showing solidarity to sick and suffering.

Dr. Anoop Joseph, Assistant Professor, General Medicine speaking about the role of doctors in health care industry, spoke about precautionary measures against COVID-19 with a need to get vaccinated.  He also emphasized on difficulties faced by the Medical fraternity and a dire need to strengthen the security of frontline warriors, discharging their duty.

A short game session was conducted by the compare  Mrs. Sonal Sophia Fernandes, (Quality Assistant) FMHT, followed by prize distribution.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Nisha D'souza (Accountant).

As a token of appreciation, mementos were distributed to all the doctors.
