Father Muller's journey in the field of physiotherapy commenced on July 15, 1967, under the auspicious blessing of the then Director, Late Fr. Marian Fernandes, and the dedicated efforts of Mr. Francis Fernandes, who underwent specialized training at CMC, Vellore. Alongside, Sr Odillia M. Jacob, equipped with her rehabilitation nursing expertise from AIIPMR, Mumbai, contributed significantly to providing rehabilitative care to those in need. As the demand for these services grew, Sr. Letitia C. Kuriakose, with her Diploma in Paramedical Sciences, joined the team, highlighting the institution's realization of the pivotal role of physiotherapy in patient care. Recognizing the need for qualified professionals, Sr Leenus Rodrigues was deputed for a Bachelor's Degree in 1991. After her successful completion & return in February 1995, the institution commenced the physiotherapy degree course duly approved by Mangalore University in 1994. In 2002, Sr Leenus Rodrigues pursued a postgraduate degree, further advancing the course. This evolution was guided by the capable leadership of the then Principal, Late Dr J.N. Shetty, and Vice Principal Dr B. Sanjeev Rai. In the year 1996, the course was incorporated under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, along with other medical courses.
