Global Partnerships for Education and Care (GPEC) - Virtual CME - REPORT
The
Department of Dermatology, Father Muller Medical College in association with
Brawijaya University, Indonesia, organized the first online CME under the
Global Partnerships for Education and Care (GPEC) of the International League
of Dermatological Societies (ILDS) on 24th March 2024.
After invoking the blessings of Almighty with a prayer
song, Dr Jacintha Martis, HOD, Department of Dermatology addressed the
delegates, experts and other faculty with a welcome speech.

On behalf of Brawijaya University, Indonesia Dr. Happy Kurnia Permatasari,
PhD-IRO and Dr. dr. Sinta Murlistyarini, Sp. DVE, Subsp. DKE welcomed the
gathering.
The theme of the CME was "Accelerating Towards a Leprosy-free World through
Global Partnership". It aimed
at bridging gaps in learning through the involvement of Post postgraduate
residents, practicing dermatologists across the globe along with experts in
various fields of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy.
There were three focussed sessions which included seminars,
case discussions and a journal club. Each session was followed by an in-depth
discussion by the expert faculty on the subject. Some valuable inputs from other
delegates were shared on this platform as well. Expert faculty included Dr
Chander Grover, Dr Nanda Kishore B, dr. Nurrahma Wahyu Fitriyani, Dr. Michelle
Fernandes, Dr. dr, Dhelya Widasmara.
The
Programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Rochelle Monteiro, followed by
the institutional anthem.
The
CME received a tremendous response as 524 participants from several countries
including India, Indonesia, Ecuador, Colombia and Hungary attended the
meeting.
