Pediatric Screening Camp
A
team of 9, including one staff, 4 postgraduates from the paediatric department
and 4 interns visited the Islamic Aided School on the 9th of
November 2017 at 10 am for the paediatric screening camp. Dr Reshel Noronha
(staff in charge) was the team leader , Dr Shruti Nair, Dr Graceful, Dr Divya
and Dr Ashima were the post-graduate students and Athulya, Vaishnavi, Ashwathi
and Athira K were the interns. The team screened 67 people out of which 64 were
children and 3 adults (school teachers). There were 33 males and 34 females.
The
various diagnosis we came across were pityriasis alba, allergic rhinitis,
common cold, molluscum contagiosum, tonsillitis, stomatitis and dermatitis. The
diagnosed children were advised to report to FMHMC hospital for further
evaluation and medicines. All the children were given the handbills of the free
paediatric health checkup to be held on the 11th of November at
FMHMC hospital and the competitions to be held in view of Children’s Day. The
management was also informed regarding the same and encouraged to get maximum
students for the camp.
