Parents, Teachers and Student Association (PTSA) meetings were conducted at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College Auditorium on 14/07/2016 for I BHMS, 15/07/2016 for III BHMS & 16/07/2016 IV BHMS Students. The Meeting began with Prayer song and Lighting the Lamp by the Dignitaries every day. Dr Rita Chakraborty welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person for all three days. The topic was "Challenges faced".


Dr Audrey Pinto PhD, M Phil, MSC counselling from Roshini Nilaya, Mangalore, was the resource person 14/07/2016. She highlighted an insight to the 7 principles; we ought to imbibe in order to successfully face challenges in life with interesting examples of personal experiences.

It was an informative & interactive session.

Dr Norbert Lobo, Associate Professor and HOD of the department of Economics at St Aloysius College, Mangalore, was the resource person for 15/07/2017.

He stated: "Our child's life is challenging". Our child is not our child, its God's gift to the parents. They are born through parents but do not belong to them. He briefed about the different challenges faced in the 21st century and how to deal with them. He highlighted the influence of cartoons, cinema, serials, cyber and cell phones, companionship and cliques (circles/group) in the formative years of a child’s life and how the parents and teachers can help them and understand them better. He emphasised that the outlook of students has changed, technology is far advanced and we are adversely influenced, by reducing socializing skills, leading to addictions and conflicts in relationships.

Mr Issac Sikha,BA in Theology & Divinity, Msc in counseling & psychology,  the professional counselor was the resource person for 16/07/2017. He mainly stressed on challenges faced by the student's parents & teachers in moulding the student into an efficient human being for the betterment of the society. He discussed the various factors to be Vigilant upon, Influential factors that come in day today & how to understand & develop the Potency in each to develop a VIP in each individual. He also emphasized the importance of communication between parents, students & teachers.

There was a session by Vice principal who highlighted the students' academics followed by Principal's session where he highlighted overall role of college towards the students & parents especially on MIS and he also cleared the queries of the parents. The session ended by the Administrator's message. He mainly stressed on the discipline in campus & in hostel. Administrator mentioned the crisis faced by the students in month of April & May, also explained to the parents regarding various measures taken to control the outbreak and provide safe drinking water to the students and staff. He also mentioned that water treatment plant (RO plant) is installed. He acknowledged that health of the students is the primary concern of the management. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Jolly D'mello, the Chief Mentor I BHMS, on 14/07/2016, Dr Rajachandra, Mentor III BHMS, on 15/07/2016 and Dr Sheena Salin, Class co-ordinator IV BHMS on 16/07/2016. The morning session ended by lunch break. The post lunch session was for the Parents & students, meeting the HODs & concerned staff of the respective departments. There were 200 parents, who attended the meeting.
