AWARENESS ON HYPERTENSION AMONG PEOPLE OF KRISHNAPURA, SURATHKAL
The
final year General Nursing & Midwifery Course students of Father Muller
School of Nursing organised a Health awareness programme on 10th
October 2017 to motivate people to keep away Hypertension and its long term
complications by avoiding sedentary lifestyle.
Mr
U.T. Khader, Hon’ble Minister for Food & Civil Supplies & Incharge
Minister of Chamarajanagar District presided over the event. He stressed on
Public Health as ‘everyone’s responsibility. He strongly stated that ‘when
humans go against nature, our Health is lost to disease’. He advised all to
keep track of their own health through regular Health checkups, maintaining
cleanliness, limiting stress in routine life and also making favourable
lifestyle changes.
Mr
Tilakraj and Mr Hayaz, Corporators of
Krishnapura area, Mr Umar Abba, Co-ordinator of Dharmasthala Development Scheme
and Mrs Jasmine Sarita Vas, Principal, Father Muller School of Nursing were
present on the occasion.
Mr
Shridhar Kotian, resident of Krishnapura area was felicitated for his
contribution towards social development of the area.
The programme was organised by the Community
Health Nursing Department faculty of Father Muller School of Nursing. Around
300 people witnessed the programme.
