SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAMME
The students of III GNM conducted the
School Health Programme on 21-10-2019 at Gunashree Vidyalaya, Adyar post,
Adyar. The programme started at 10am by invoking the blessings of God through a prayer song lead by Ms Anumol
and group. Ms Ranjitha Winny welcomed
the gathering.
Mr Krishna Naik P.D.O of Adyar Panchayat
was the chief guest of the programme addressed the students saying, Nursing
profession is a noble profession. It needs a dedicated service and also emphasized
that there are several Panchayat facilities
provided for the community. Mr Radhakrishna correspondent of the school
addressed the student and was delighted that we selected his institution to
hold the important and needed health issues among the students. Mr Anand Shetty
the school board member also addressed that “health is wealth†and about how to
keep the personal hygiene and nutritional status optimum level. Mrs Jasmine
Sarita Vas Principal, Father Muller School of Nursing spoke regarding the
importance of conducting the health education programme in Schools. The
teaching faculty of Father Muller School of Nursing were actively involved in
the programme.
The students performed the role play
on ‘personal hygiene’, ‘good touch bad touch’, ‘adolescent health &
behaviour’ and ‘menstrual hygiene’ and described about its importance and the
health benefits using various A.V aids.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Sr Bal Sumitra.
The students and teaching faculty of the school participated actively in the
programme and appreciated the efforts of our GNM students. Refreshments were
served to the gathering. The programme was compered by Ms Melisha D’Souza. Around
315 were the beneficiaries of the program.
