MASS HEALTH EDUCATION ON PREVENTION OF MENTAL ILLNESS
The
students of II year GNM as a part of their Mental health Nursing Practicals,
conducted a mass health education on 15 November 2019 at 2.30 pm in Family
Psychiatry ward on Promotion of Mental
Health and Prevention of Mental illness. The programme commenced with a prayer
song. The welcome speech was given by Ms Suraksha DSilva followed by
a role play.
The
students explained about the causes, types, sign and symptoms and management of
the topic using various A.V aids. The inmates and patients of Family Psychiatry
ward were present. The Principal, along with the faculty and ward in charges,
graced the occasion.
The
Play was performed in Kannada and Malayalam. Vote of thanks was given by Ms
Shwetha. Ms Shwetha compered the program. Around 35 patients were benefited out
of it.
